PB&J Acai Smoothie Bowl
There are no rules that dictate all things blended must be sipped from a cup! Take a step on the wild side and grab a spoon instead because this PB&J Acai protein bowl is about to take your tastebuds by storm. Acai is an antioxidant rich fruit originally harvested from the Amazon rain forest and tops the charts as one of the healthiest berries you can find. Antioxidants help with cell turnover which can result in anti-aging results that slow or reverse the process of aging by stopping oxidative damage. They also improve immune health, and these sweet little drops have also been linked to better blood circulation, improved brain function and increased energy.
With so much healthy goodness, acai bowls are rising in popularity.
What makes this dish a special one is not only that it is eaten with a spoon, but the flavor and ingredient options are truly endless. While I’ve whipped up a special Rainbow Light inspired Peanut Butter and Jelly recipe, you can get creative with fresh and frozen fruit, fresh vegetables, superfoods and so much more. Make a double batch and freeze half into popsicle molds to curb late night sugar cravings.
However you Acai your bowl, after diving into such a sweet protein treat you’ll be energized and ready to tackle anything the day brings.
